About this painting: This was a pure abstract piece. When I looked at it, I saw a buffalo. The only thing I added to bring the bison out a little was the faint horn on the left. I see things like this in random shapes and patterns everywhere. In the bark on trees, in the bath suds as they swirl, in the way my sheets are wrinkled. I see creatures and scenes in the randomness of natural things. This piece feels strong to me. Primal. A good buffalo totem to watch over us. This piece is part of the Six Colors series. I used just six colors of paint to create a unique and moving suite of 20 original paintings. You can see them all here. These pieces look great together in groupings!
