This painting was commissioned for a rat-lover who had a dear friend named Willie.  I do not know if the actual Willie was a badass.  I think maybe he was a creampuff.  The picture I had for a reference showed him smooching his Momma.  And I thought maybe secretly deep down inside he dreamed of being a tough guy.  Don't we all?
