About this painting: I have been working on this canvas for SO long.  Off an on.  I bet this one has been in the works for more than a year.  I picked it up and worked a bit and set it down and came back to it.  Over and over.  This is a strange and complicated painting.  Compelling.  Like a myth or something.  I do not completely understand it myself.  But I finally appreciate this one.  I am glad it took time getting here.  I like having this painting around now.  That beautiful plump heart in flight.  Those odd spots that feel like skeet shots to me.  Makes me wonder.  Sets me to daydreaming.

Aiming for love.

Hearts are hard to understand.  You really do have to focus.  How often do we focus on loving well?
