About this painting:  This economy is brutal.  No question.  I have no real idea how I will survive it, to be honest.  But the things is....   we got here on purpose.  Our greed, our insatiable need for more, led us all to this time.  And like a wildfire burning away what was - in order to make the soil more fertile for what will be - our economy is preparing us for more important concerns.  I believe that.  This paring down is a great gift.  A chance to realize what we were unable to see before.  A chance to grow in ways that matter far more than money.
