(The staple-free sides are unfinished, raw black gesso with smudges of paint.  I think this best suits the expressive nature of this painting and feel it would be entirely appropriate to display the painting in this manner without framing.  However, if you would prefer the edges finished with black paint, I can do that for you.)

About this painting: Oh my.  I love this.  A beautiful wild expressive painting about letting go and being brave and moving on.  For all you folks who have made bad decisions, paid for them, and then dared move forward.  A better future for us all!  When we tell our mistakes goodbye.

Personally, I let a crappy relationship go after eight years of trying to prove it was not a mistake to be with him (it was.)  But I think this painting is valuable for folks who have let go of the wrong man, woman, job, role, body image, body parts, religion, dream, etc.  What comes next is scary, but better.
