About this painting: When I am out driving or walking, I look for the open places. I look for empty spots. Breaks in the clutter. I am coming to believe that clutter is the bane of my existing. Man-made clutter in our culture. Me-made clutter in my home and in my psyche. The simple scenes reassure me that there is indeed order to the Universe. Two trees alone on a little hill. Bliss.
