I love Steven Slater, the JetBlue hero guy. He makes me happy. The media has focused on the quitting aspect of things, but I'm not really sure our collective fascination with this guy has so much to do with the quitting part. I think the story is more about his courage.

Who doesn't want to go down that big inflatable slide? Who doesn't want to tell the rude selfish people of the world to go "enjoy" themselves? Who doesn't want to shout obscenities over the PA system? This guy is fantastic because he did what we all want to do. And after years of taking whatever non-sense unruly passengers were dishing out, he set his inhibitions down, picked up his dignity and sense of joy, and a few beers, and he left. Good for him..
